LifeinaBox is the world’s smallest refrigerator, designed for the safe transport of fragile medications such as insulin or growth hormones. About 5% of the worldwide population are “prisoners” of their medication, because their medication must be maintained at a temperature between 2 and 8°C at all times. To these people, LifeinaBox gives the freedom to travel anywhere, anytime, with the peace of mind of knowing that their life-saving medication is kept at exactly the right temperature.

Since prehistoric times, fever has been associated with disease. In the 17th century, Galileo developed the first thermometers for physical experiments. When glass thermometers were sufficiently reduced in size at the end of the 19th century, various researchers began to use them to measure temperature on animals. It took 100 years for a fast predictive thermometer to be developed.
Are infrared thermometers accurate?
Infrared thermometers are an excellent indicator of changes in core body temperature. Since their introduction, numerous clinical studies have been carried out to verify their accuracy. Studies have been carried out in both pediatric and adult intensive care units, post-anesthesia units and doctor’s offices. Infrared temperatures were compared to core body temperatures measured in the pulmonary artery, bladder and esophagus, and contact temperatures of the tympanic membrane. However, as with any thermometer, proper technique is key to getting accurate readings. So please take the time to read the instruction manual.
